How Coins work in Backflip Obby Escape: how you earn them through clean landings and combos, how codes top them up, and the smartest ways to spend them.
Last updated:
Coins are the currency of Backflip Obby Escape, and the satisfying part is that you earn them by playing well rather than grinding mindlessly. They are spent entirely on cosmetics, so think of them as a scoreboard for your skill that you can wear. Here is how to earn, stack, and spend them.
How you earn coins
- Clean landings. Centred, well-timed flips contribute steadily.
- The combo multiplier. This is the big one. Consecutive flawless landings build a combo that pays bonus coins at the end of a section. Falling resets it.
- Codes. Occasional code rewards add a coin lump sum on top.
The combo system is the heart of coin earning. A flawless run through a section can be worth far more than slowly slogging through it, which is why improving your backflip timing is also the best way to get rich.
What coins buy
Coins are spent on Skins & Cosmetics — flip trails, character looks, and other visual flair. Critically, coins buy looks, not power. No coin purchase makes a jump easier or a gap shorter. This keeps the game fair: a brand-new player and a veteran face the exact same obby, and coins just let the veteran show off.
If any guide or site claims a coin purchase makes the game “easier to beat”, ignore it. Coins are cosmetic-only. Skill, orbs and timing clear stages.
The fastest way to farm coins
Because the multiplier dominates your earnings, farming is about flawless repetition, not risky pushes:
- Pick a section you can clear cleanly — usually an early one like Neon City.
- Chain a long combo by landing every flip centred and grabbing safe orbs.
- Bank the bonus at the section end, then repeat.
- Only push harder sections for combo once they are comfortable; a fall resets everything.
This is far more efficient than struggling through a section you keep failing, where repeated resets wipe your multiplier before it pays out.
Stacking coins with codes and boosts
When a coin or coin-multiplier code is live, time your farming around it — running your cleanest combos while a multiplier boost is active maximises the haul. Check the Active Codes page before a farming session, and learn the redeem steps so you do not waste boost time fumbling the menu.
Spend wisely
Once your balance is healthy, head to Skins & Cosmetics and buy the looks you actually want rather than the cheapest available. For a complete earning-and-spending strategy, including how orbs, combos and codes combine, read How to Get Coins & Skins.
